Campaigners celebrated the Government’s pledge to act to help break the menopause ‘taboo’ at a rally in Parliament Square. MPs and TV personalities joined our own campaign founder, Diane Danzebrink outside Parliament to applaud the Government’s announcement that the cost of repeat prescriptions for hormone replacement therapy in England will be significantly reduced. Diane paid tribute to the hundreds of women at Friday’s rally and the hundreds of thousands who have signed the Make Menopause Matter petition online.

How Diane Danzebrink went from potential suicide to found the #MakeMenopauseMatter campaign – her story has inspired many thousands and is retold in today’s Sun newspaper.

For the last decade every October 18th has been World Menopause Day. And this year DI Danzebrink was up with the lark to speak to Sky News presenter Kay Burley about her own menopause experience and to deliver some advice to those women currently going through menopause.

Writing in The Guardian, writer and film-maker Kate Muir says women will be gathering in Parliament Square in London later this month to support the menopause bill to demand free prescriptions for hormone replacement therapy in England. 

The dearth of information about the psychological and cognitive symptoms of menopause can lead to many women being unaware of what is causing their mental health issues.
