If you are confused and need help and support working out what is going on for you or you have already tried talking to your doctor about menopause but been told it’s ‘not menopause’ or that ‘you are too young’ or that it ‘can’t be menopause because you are still having periods’

Rest assured, you are not going mad; you are not alone.

We are passionate that every woman should have access to factual, evidence based, information and support. We offer our consultations at a rate that we hope will make them affordable. Private 1-1 Menopause Information Consultation £75

This one off 45 minute telephone or video consultation is an opportunity to talk, in confidence, and have all your questions answered about menopause, HRT and alternative treatments. A letter for your GP can be provided after the consultation if you would like and is included in the cost of your consultation.

We will help you to:

  • Understand exactly what is going on and what you can do about it.
  • Make informed choices about managing menopause based on up to date evidence based, non-biased, information.
  • Prepare to speak with your GP, gynaecologist or complementary therapist.
  • Consider positive lifestyle options to help you take back control and get on with your life.

Please note that we are not able to prescribe for you, only your GP or nurse prescriber can do this.

“I just want to reach out and say thank you so very much for the appointment I’ve just had, I really cannot  thank you enough. I truly appreciate all the advice and recommendations. It really has answered a lot of my questions and made me feel less overwhelmed and so much more understood.”

Menopause information consultations are available with both our founder Diane Danzebrink who is a menopause counsellor or with Steph Kershaw-Marsh who is a former nurse. Both Diane and Steph have attended British Menopause Society menopause training for nurses. See below for how to book your menopause information consultation.

For further information or to book your private consultation please send an email to hello@menopausesupport.co.uk with 1-1 Menopause Consultation in the subject line.

Once you have contacted us please check your junk mail for our reply as sometimes responses end up there. Thank you.

Kind words from our clients

“I found it so so helpful. It is such a minefield out there, and as I don’t have any older female family members, I had no clue about what was right and what was wrong. I was able to ask about the different treatments and it was also invaluable to be able to ask about how my endometriosis can affect menopause and vice versa. I am autistic and so sometimes I struggle to understand when there is too much information, like on a Google search for example, but Steph was very clear and concise and so I feel so much better about everything and have a much better understanding.”

“For the first time in a couple of years I actually feel that it’s about quality of life and thanks to Diane, I now know how to start to improve mine.”

“Diane has been a tower of strength to me. She has given me so much help and support.”

“Diane, thank you for all your help, life has recommenced!”

“A real life raft in the sea of hormonal change”

“This service has been so important to me recently. Excellent clear and compassionate support at a time when my doctors had NO idea what to do. The last few months have been utterly demoralising and this was the only place I have felt heard and cared for! ”

‘This is the first time I have found someone to talk to properly about Menopause who actually knows exactly what she is talking about based on both education and experience, thank you SO much. Your work is inspirational and needs to be everywhere – literally”

“Diane is amazingly supportive, informative and generous with her time and knowledge. In a world where sound HRT and menopause knowledge is lacking she is a blessing. She is a great listener, getting her head around your personal circumstance with ease. She is easy to talk to, friendly, open and caring and I personally have been so grateful to have found her at a time when I was in desperate need of good advice, answers and guidance. I’d highly recommend getting in touch with her if you find yourself, like too many women do, in a difficult position and looking for some much needed answers.”

“I had my consultation with Steph from Menopause Support yesterday, and woke up today already feeling so much better. I’m Autistic and mentally/physically disabled, until recently the one thing I had ‘under control’ was my menopause symptoms, until I didn’t. All my symptoms were coming back, which caused a complete breakdown in me managing my other health conditions. I had spoken to my GPs and they had shown empathy, but were lacking in menopause specific knowledge. Steph went through a thorough checklist of my symptoms, then made several suggestions on ways to ease these symptoms. She also gave me a detailed understanding of what happens in our bodies when oestrogen levels drop, and that blood tests are not suitable for measuring this, and why. This is beyond helpful for me, as us Autistics can often be really good at understanding things on a deep level very quickly, if we are given information in a coherent ‘logical’ way. I now feel more informed than ever about what is actually happening in my body and how to monitor that. When I understand something, I also feel much more able to advocate for myself with my GP to get the right care. I wouldn’t have been able to take on the array of information Steph gave me had she not had such a wealth of knowledge, this wasn’t food for thought, it was a banquet for my brain! She is clearly used to speaking to a diverse range of people, so is able to cater to whomever she is speaking to at the time. Steph also wrote a letter to my GP, so I can go to my next appointment armed with that.
I cried happy tears after my consultation. I felt validated, informed and empowered.”
