Di Danzebrink tells Kaye Adams of BBC Radio Scotland why she believes Scotland should follow England’s lead and make menopause part of the official school curriculum for teenagers.

Now the menopause is about to be added to the school curriculum, BBC Radio Berkshire has spoken to women with bad experiences. Di Danzebrink joins presenter Sarah Walker for the afternoon show.

Last night I spent an hour chatting to the lovely Nigel Denby @menopause_dietitian about menopause weight gain, what we can do about it and how we can look after our long term health. We discussed the foods we should be choosing and he shared lots of great, factual, common sense information and advice and busted some myths.

This dropped into my inbox on Saturday and it moved me to tears. Claire’s donation and message made me cry partly because of her generosity but mainly out of frustration because we should not be in a situation where women have to rely on support groups and services to get the help they need to save their lives which are being blighted by menopause symptoms.
