I was contacted about contributing to this important work last year and accepted without hesitation when I heard about the aims of the project. This book brings together menopause perspectives from all walks of life from women around the world. There are many brilliant voices in the book, all passionate about improving the menopause experience.
World Menopause Day is coming soon on the 18th of October and we would love to have the campaign message all over social media that day – which is where all followers of this site come in!
Di Danzebrink tallks about why menopause matters and why its just common sense to improve public and professional menopause education with Stephanie Hirst of BBC Radio Leeds.
Di took part in an online event recently talking about the #makemenopausematter campaign and why it matters, speaking alongside Amika George who has campaigned to end period poverty in the UK.
The #MakeMenopauseMatter campaign has also been mentioned in an article in Woman and Home this week. The story behind the change in the UK school curriculum to ensure menopause is taught to teenage pupils can be seen here.
Some very good advice on menopause in this article in Good Housekeeping, which features a contribution by our very own Di Danzebrink. Anne Montague’s piece covers symptoms and at-risk factors as well as lifestyle tips and best treatments.
Suicide is always a difficult subject to raise and can be complex but not raising it is not an option as we simply cannot allow for this to be swept under the carpet any longer.
Welcome to the Menopause Support playlist! Our lovely Andrea put this together for you.
Since launching in October 2018 we have over 100k signatures and have achieved one of our three aims by getting menopause added to the curriculum. Our friend and campaign colleague Andrea Swan has channeled her inner Spielberg to bring you a 60 second snapshot of the last two years.
