Keynote speech reaches 1,300 – but still much work to do!

Menopause Support founder Di Danzebrink gave the closing keynote speech at the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) conference in London at the weekend.

She told us: “My speech focused on why menopause matters in therapy and my aim was to give those in the room an understanding of menopause and all the possible physical and psychological symptoms and just how debilitating they can be for some women.

“I also explained the woeful lack of training for healthcare professionals and why I think it’s vital for all wellbeing professionals to understand menopause, as they just might be the person who can support their client/patient to get the right help at the right time.

“It was lovely to speak to so many colleagues afterwards who had got something from the speech both personally and professionally.

“There were 300 in the room and 1000 on the live webcast so its a start but still so much work to do to #MakeMenopauseMatter.” she added.
