After a whirlwind week, a trip “Up North”….

After a whirlwind week including the Westminster sessions, Di Danzebrink visited Cheshire for an event organised by the university of Liverpool for 120 GPs and Nurses.

“I was invited to talk about menopause and mental health and took the opportunity to explain just how important oestrogen is to the brain and the many functions that it performs.” she told us.

“My plea to them was that if a woman in her 40s is presenting with anxiety, low mood, loss of joy, brain fog, loss of confidence, reduced concentration etc please consider perimenopause. Not everyone has hot flushes, periods might not have changed yet, use a symptom checker and know that first line treatment is HRT, not antidepressants.” Di added.
