In the article, entitled “The Cost of Poor Education, Advice and Support” Di argues the psychological impact of menopause cannot be underestimated. In 2017, the Office for National Statistics released the latest suicide figures, revealing the highest rate of suicide amongst women in the U.K is between the ages of 50 and 54, while the average age of menopause is 51.
“Is this the ultimate hidden cost of a lack of menopause education, information, advice and support?” , she concludes.
